Privacy Policy

TapX Studio ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Work Ledger ("App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App.

1. Overview

Work Ledger is designed to keep your work and pay information on your device. We collect only what is needed to operate the App, optional cloud features, subscriptions, and support.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores your work data locally on your device, including items such as:

  • Work shifts, hours, and pay period settings
  • Wages, tips, expenses, mileage, and related entries you create
  • App preferences such as currency, theme, and display options

This local data is not uploaded unless you choose a feature that requires it, such as cloud backup or feedback with diagnostics.

3. Information We May Collect

Account and cloud backup (optional)

If you sign in with Apple or Google and enable cloud backup, we may store encrypted backup data and account identifiers needed to restore your data on another device signed into the same account.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. RevenueCat helps us verify subscription status. We receive subscription and entitlement status, not your full payment card details.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened). Analytics data is used to improve the App and is not sold to third parties for advertising.

Feedback and support

If you send feedback, we may collect:

  • Your message and feedback type
  • Whether you allow us to contact you
  • An optional contact email you provide
  • Optional screenshot you attach
  • Basic device and app version information

We do not include shift notes, earnings values, exported files, or full database contents in feedback unless you explicitly include them in your message.

App functionality

We may use device identifiers and app version information to deliver core features, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App
  • Process subscriptions and restore purchases
  • Enable optional cloud backup and sign-in
  • Respond to feedback and support requests
  • Improve reliability, security, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, such as:

  • Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchases
  • RevenueCat — subscription management
  • Google Firebase — authentication, analytics, cloud backup, feedback storage, and related infrastructure

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.

6. Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Cloud backup and feedback data are retained only as long as needed to provide the related service or meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of support-related data by contacting us.

7. Your Choices

You can:

  • Use the App without signing in or enabling cloud backup
  • Manage subscription and store account settings through Apple or Google
  • Choose whether to include contact information with feedback
  • Delete local data from within the App or by uninstalling the App

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

10. International Users

If you use the App from outside the country where our services are hosted, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
